Delete Temporary Files

On a daily basis, your computer creates temporary files: tmp files, log files, downloaded Internet files, etc. These files have their uses, but there's no reason to hang onto them forever.

Remove Temp files

  1. Download and run CCleaner
  2. At the bottom of the window click the Analyze button.
  3. Once the analysis is complete CCleaner will display a summary page listing the different types of files that CCleaner has selected for removal. Double click on an item in the list and CCleaner will display the list of files associated with that item.
  4. You can modify the types of files that CCleaner will remove by modifying the filter on the left-hand column of the window but I wouldn't suggest it unless you know what your doing.

When you're ready click the Run Cleaner button in the lower right-hand corner of the window.
