  • Disable prefetch (partially): This will make your computer run slower.

  • Disable User Account Control (not recommended): Disables UAC.

Windows Media Player Tab
  • Disable Automatic License Acquisition: Part of Windows DRM (Digital Rights management) system. I would disable it, but if you have music on your computer that is protect with DRM that music may not play afterwords.
  • Disable Automatic Usage Rights Download: Part of Windows DRM (Digital Rights Management) system.
  • Disable Usage Tracking: Stop WMP from sending usage information to Microsoft.
  • Disable DRM for imported music: When you import music through Windows Media player, the music is encoded with DRM protection so that only you can listen to it on this computer. DRM makes copying your music to a new computer or mp3 player difficult. Recommendation: Disable
