FreeCol

FreeCol is a turn-based strategy game based on the classic game Colonization. In FreeCol the year is 1492 and you have justed crossed the Atlantic Ocean in search of the new world. Subsequently you meet the Indians and build a colony; however you're not the only one here and you'll have to fight for your land and your independents.

The objective in FreeCol is simple, create a colony, become a free independent nation and survive.

FreeCol is a complicated game and will take sometime to get use to. The help file gives plenty of information on the different elements in the game (terrine types, builds, ships, people and so on). But your success will depend on your strategy.
